Different Ways To Step Up Your Cards

Happy Monday Everyone! Can I just say that “Springing Forward” is never my favorite day of the year.
Who is with me on this? I’m sure not many people, because I know everyone loves Spring, and Summer.

I’m not a huge fan of losing that hour of sleep. I’ve already started the count down to Fall.

I know, I know for sure enjoy these moments. Enjoy these last few weeks of cool weather. This weekend we had a nice storm come in, and we got some beautiful rain. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Let’s dive into something a little crafty today, over the weekend I worked on my Project Life Family album which I will be talking even more about on Friday. I also worked on a set of Cards that Wendy dropped off at my house.

I wanted to take these cards, and show you how you can make a super simple card, OR you can take that same design, and step it up to create something with a little bit more to it.

{Different Ways To Step Your Cards}

Here is how the card started out. Wendy had used Crumb Cake Cardstock as a base. She cut the 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock at 4 1/4 to create a standard A2 size card.

Then she did simple layers – One layer of Mint Macaroon Cardstock cut at 5 1/4 x 4. A few strips at the bottom with one stamp.

Here is how I stepped this card by using Rhinestones, Sequins, Punches, and Die cuts.

I love everything about these cards! The colors, and Designer Paper are my cup of tea. However, this card design would work with any Designer Paper you have.

You can pick up any of these supplies in my online store HERE or by clicking on the photos below. Remember every $50.00 you spend you will get a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. Don’t wait to get you orders in, Sale-A-Bration ends in a few short weeks.

Supply List

Don’t forget that Stampin’ Up added 3 NEW Sale-A-Bration items at the end of February. These items are not in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog you may have.

I would love to know what your favorite “Step It Up” item is. Is there a product that you find yourself adding to all your cards? Maybe you feel like you over use it sometimes? Let me know by leaving me a comment.

I will be back on Wednesday to share with you something pretty!
