Project Life Family Album Update

I’ve had so many issues over the last 6 weeks trying to work on our Family Project Life Album. Part of the problem for me is the fact the kids are home on summer vacation. Our mornings are way laid back, everyone is still eating breakfast at 10 or 11am.

There are just more demands during summer!

The other issue I am having is the heat. I struggle so much during this time of the year emotionally, and physically. I don’t cope well with the heat. I feel like I just can’t get focused enough to get anything accomplished.

By far the biggest struggle I have been facing over the last few weeks has been printing photos. I’ve tried several times, and for one reason or, another failed to get the prints home!

I decided to use the Project Life App for a few events, and then I finally managed to get photos home from the printers.

I cannot recommend the Project Life App enough. I wish I could just use the App for our everyday memory keeping. It would be so much simpler at the end of the day. I simply enjoy the physical product to much.

However, I do enjoy using this App for vacations, and special occasions. I love not having to worry about how many photos I’m taking on a trip, knowing I can use the Project Life App to pull these pages together makes it so much easier.

For our Summer vacation I had 7 pages printed. 6 of them stayed 12×12 form and were dropped into 12×12 page protectors. 1 of the prints was cut in half, and I used a 6×12 page protector.

July starts a new album for me, and I started out this album using the Adventure Core Kit. This kit has a great mixture of cards.

The last week have any photos for at all is week #30. I still somehow managed to miss getting a few pictures printed.

I am planning on uploading photos this next weekend. I will make sure to get the ones I have missed, and then I will get all photos for current weeks. This will catch me up to the week we are currently in.

Once I do this I can get back to doing a little bit more embellishing, and stamping.

Sometimes I realize that I just have to let go of something when it come to Project Life. I always keep the end in mind. At the end of the day I want our album to have everyday photos in it. The extra time I spend embellishing, and stamping is not as important as the photos.
