Currently I am deep in Paper Party Retreat Prep. Cutting Patten Paper, creating kits, and packaging everything up.
For this years Annual Catalog Paper Party Retreat I wanted to put together quick and cute for those receiving the paper party packages.
I came up with these little bags I found on Amazon. They are the perfect size for all of the goodies to go into, and I loved creating these tags.
I went live on Facebook to do all of the coloring.
It was a perfect time to craft, and connect with everyone, and I was able to explain what all the stars were about on Facebook from the day before.
As I mentioned I will be going live several times over the next few weeks on Facebook to get my status up on the platform. You will be able to see several different projects from me during these lives.
I’m always so thankful for your support, and encouragement.
Coloring has been something that I have never really loved doing. Mostly because it feels like it takes forever.
However, when I do color I prefer to use the Stampin Up Blends. I feel like I get such a better out come with these markers.
Flirty Flamingo & Parakeet Party
This tag features Flirty Flamingo Light & Light Parakeet Party for the coloring. I would have liked the pink flower to be a bit brighter.
Stampin Up doesn’t have the perfect pink blend marker for what I was looking for. In the end the Flirty Flamingo worked out the best.
Highland Heather & Purple Posey
I think that this tag is my favorite. I used two different purple blends for these flowers, and did a little bit of shading.
The purple posy blend is now retired, however I plan to use mine until is dry. There is no sense in throwing something out just because it is retired, or not using it.
Basic Black & Bermuda Bay
Of course my second favorite is the Bermuda Bay & Basic Black. Bermuda Bay is my all time favorite Stampin Up Color.
I loved chatting with everyone yesterday about what colors we loved, and even what colors we hated.
Let me know in the comments what your all time favorite Stampin Up Color is.
Tahitian Tide & Parakeet Party
These two colors pair so well together. Both these next two pouches use the same color combo.
Magenta Madness & Parakeet Party
Again I struggled a little bit with what pink to use. I ended up using the Magenta Madness which is another retired color. It ended up being much darker than I liked.
I also used both the light and dark Parakeet Party Blend to add a little shading. There is a great deal of difference between the light and dark blend markers.
Remember you don’t always have to use them together, you an use them alone, or even pair with other color blends.
Basic Black & Parakeet party
This was the first tag I put together when I was first flushing out my idea for these pouches.
I love the two bold colors.
