20 years ago when I first started crafting I did not own a 12×12 trimmer. There were not as many gadgets, and tools on the market as there are now.
The very first 12×12 trimmer I purchased was a Cricut Brand Trimmer. I would go on to use several Fisker brand trimmers, a customer trimmer by Stampin Up, and then the off-brand trimmer that Stampin Up now offers.
I haven’t been happy with these options for a while now. It was great to get the Tim Holtz Trimmer for Christmas.
Over the last few weeks, I have been using the trimmer for not only card-making projects but also all of my Memory-Keeping projects.
There are several things about this trimmer that I love, a few customizations I made, and one thing I really don’t like.
I want to give you an honest review of this trimmer and share with you why I will be using this trimmer going forward.
I love the ability to add color to the dashed line to darken them up. This has helped me be able to see those lines while crafting.
One of the great things about this trimmer is the fact that “lines” are engraved into the plastic.
These create a natural grove where you can customize the line by using a Sharpie. You can do this in any color you like. The possibilities are endless.
One thing I’m always willing to spend a little bit of extra money on in my craft room will always be crafty tools.
I know that they can be a little bit expensive. It is never fun at the time of spending the extra money.
However, I know if it is a tool I’m using every day I want it to function with ease.
Over the last few weeks of using this new trimmer, I can say it is worth the money. It has truly become the only 12″ x 12″ trimmer I’m reaching for.
