A Fun Craft Room Update

This was definitely not part of my summer plans! I mean, don’t get me wrong I love a good home decor refresh as much as the next DIY-loving soul, but summer?

That’s usually reserved for memory-keeping, surving the heat, and pretending I have some sort of routine.

But thanks to a stretch of gorgeous weather! Which I’m loving, and tiny craft room mishap that quickly snowballed. I found myself in the middle of a full-blown craft room refresh spiral. One moment I was crafting, and the next thing I knew, I was knee-deep in late-July chaos with a peal and stick wall paper in one hand and a blasting a little Taylor Swift!

Sometimes the mess chooses you, right?

After I swept up the broken glass I decided—why not go all in? What started as a quick clean-up turned into a full-blown drawer overhaul! A solid, no-nonsense refresh of my creative space.

This refresh ended up being exactly what I needed—and not just for the sake of a tidier space. I hadn’t changed much in my creative area since stepping away from Stampin’ Up last year, and it was starting to show.

What I really needed was a fresh environment to help me find a new rhythm—and spark a little more creativity.

I even dusted off my Big Shot—literally—and gave it a little TLC so I can start putting it to good use again.

The best part was I cleared off enough space on my desktop to actually see it again. Progress, my friends. Real, satisfying progress!

I was happy find a solution for my ribbon. I am using three of these containers for from idea. You can find them HERE in several different sizes.

My next project t will be to label the boxes. But that is another project for another day.

The Star of The Show:

The real star of the show? This gorgeous peel-and-stick wallpaper I accidentally discovered during a totally innocent Amazon scroll (you know how that goes).

You can check it out [HERE]. And just a heads-up—some of the links I share are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission if you use them. No pressure, but I do a little happy dance every time you do. Thanks for supporting what I do!

I feel like I did a good job of lining the pattern up and it was honestly a bit easier than I thought It was going to be. I’m all for a project turning out to be easier than I thought it would be.

The very last spot I added a pop of that beautiful pattern was on the top row of cubes right behind my desk—my creative command center. I figured those shelves deserved a little love too.

That small touch of color? Chef’s kiss. It gave those cubes the “main character energy” they didn’t know they needed.

And with that, the refresh is officially complete—no more broken glass, just a space that feels so much more like me. Now the only messes in here are the creative ones, and those I’m totally okay with.
