Creating a Creative Journal

I’m so happy to be back in the creative groove and posting again! The last few weeks, my creative mojo decided to take a vacation without me, and I was really struggling to find inspiration.

It feels so good to finally shake off that creative block and dive back in. Let’s catch up!

Creating a Creative Journal

Does anyone else feel like last week was 100 years long? I can’t believe it was just last weekend that the girls were headed to Homecoming—it feels like a lifetime ago.

I’m not going to dive into all my feelings about what happened with Charlie Kirk right now. Honestly, they’re still raw, and everywhere you turn someone else is already talking about it.

If you’re anything like me, you’re just craving a little space to breathe—a moment where things don’t feel so heavy. We all need those lighter moments right now, and I’m reminding myself it’s okay to make space for them.

Creating A Crative journaling

Lately, I’ve been craving creativity like never before. I sit surrounded by my stamps, patterned papers, and more embellishments than I can count, and all I want to do is play. To cut, glue, and layer. To make pretty things and document the moments that mean the most.

While I absolutely love my Family Project Life Album—and I’ve been having so much fun putting together my Personal Project Life Album—I’ve also been wanting to explore new ways of documenting everyday moments.

That’s why I started creating my Simple Everyday Snapshots notebooks. They’re a smaller, more flexible way to capture memories without overthinking, and I’m so excited to see how they grow alongside my albums.

I will be sharing a layout in my Simple Everyday Snapshot on Friday, but with that in mind I want create another size notebook for memory-keeping moments.

I decided to put together a Creative Journal. I’m not sure what else to call this. I got this idea from Plan2Create on YouTube, along with Heba from My Little Journal.

Both of these ladies use the Hemlock and Oak Journals and Planners.

I decided to use my Erin Condren Notebooks because I alraedy have several of these in my collection.

Creating a Creative Journal

I’m so excited to keep creating in my Simple Everyday Snapshots notebook and this Creative Journal—and I’ve even got plans to fill up a Traveler’s Notebook I recently uncovered from a few months back.

So many creative projects waiting for me, and I can’t wait to dive in!

Creating a Creative Journal

I’m looking foward to sharing these projects in the days to come.
