When it comes to getting photos printed for my Project Life Album I normally send my photos to be printed through Walmart. It is local to me, and has great photo quality. I can upload them in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon.
However, the upload process through Walmart is not always easy, and it will on occasion make me avoid uploading photos. I decided to upload through Snapfish and have photos shipped to me last month and it took longer than I would have liked.
Finally June photos showed up in my mail box and I was able to get them into my Project Life Family album. This makes the first half of my album for 2025 almost complete.
I’m absolutely loving the paper I’m working with this month! It’s from the Trail Mix collection—yes, the camping-themed one—and I scooped it up at the Scrapbooking Expo last October.
Now listen, it may be an older line and technically made for s’mores and tents… but it ended up being perfect for my June layouts.
Friendly reminder: you don’t have to follow the product’s theme rules. Use the paper you love, even if it was “meant” for a totally different kind of project. Be bold. Have fun getting scrappy and be the boss of your supplies.
This month, I used the back of my calendar page to create a simple layout. Using the kids’ last day of school photo. This was perfect and I love having that kind of flexibility in my album.
Some months I’ve got bits and pieces of life I want to tuck in, and other times I just need a little more room for a special photo set. Either way, those back pages always come through. It’s all about making the space work for you. Sometimes I have bits and bobs of life that I want to save. Other times I need a little extra space for a set of photos.
For the month of June, I’m officially calling it done-ish. I finished the journaling! I added a few well-placed embellishments—like crafty confett! Now I’m wrapping up this half of the album and moving on to the next.
Some months, I’m all in—layering stickers, adding flair, and basically throwing a craft party on the page. Other months? I’m in full “less is more” mode and ready to keep it moving. Either way, I just roll with whatever creative vibe shows up that month.
There is always one extra back side of a Design A page protector at the end of the month of June which is the end of the first half of the album. This year I used it to highlight Violet’s surgery which happened at the beginning of the month.
I focus less on placing every photo perfectly and more on telling the stories that matter most to me.
Next week I will be doing the final walk through of this half of the album and wrappinig up anything that is undone. Then I can offically dive into the second half of the year in my second album.
