October is finally here! I feel like I wait all year to get to these last few months, I dream about these last 3 months of the year.
Here in Northern California, the weather is typically still very hot and dry through September. However, once we hit October we usually start getting cooler temperatures, and rainy days are closer.
This year is greatly testing my patience as we are having record-breaking tempters and this first week of October we are swimming in temps over 100 degrees.
I’m not going to hold it against October. I’m still going to bask in the pure joy that we have made it through the awful summer months, and cooler days are around the corner. (They have to be right?)
All of the beautiful October projects are calling my name, and I’m over the moon to dive into a 31 Days of Thankful project for my October Daily mini album. More about that to come.
October Crafty Project:
Today I wanted to share a few thoughts about wrapping up my 12-year journey with Stampin Up and moving on to new endeavors.
When do you decorate Fall, or do you even decorate for the Fall / Autumn months?
Since the kids started school I have always decorated for Fall the weekend after they go back to school which is always the middle of August. I transformed our entire house into all things Fall related and it is a lot of work.
The biggest reason for doing this so early is wanting to enjoy my favorite time of the year, and it gives me hope that summer really will end, and I will survive. (Any break into the song other than me right there?)
One of my favorite things to do is create fun home decor pieces using all my fun paper crafting goodies. Make sure to check out my Fall Wreath last month. I made it in my video where I talked about leaving Stampin Up HERE.

Saturday – Membership Videos // Our live crafty hangout will be at the end of the month, and I will also be sharing progress on my other projects.
