Of course I love memory-keeping, and scrapbooking. Over the years I have put together many projects, and albums including Family Albums, Week In The Life Albums, Mini Albums, and so much more.
This year I added a project to my line. However was it necessary? In today’s video I want to share a look at the different Project Life Album I keep up on through out the year.
I don’t think that there is a right and wrong way to approach memory-keeping. I also don’t think that there is a right or wrong amount of albums, or projects that you should or shouldn’t work on.
The best thin you can do in your memory-keeping adventures is pay attention!
Not only will this help you take more photos, and capture more everyday moments. It will also help guide you with the type of projects you want to create.
Family Project Life Album:
Since 2006 I have always had a “yearly” album. Before I was married it was just a personal album I put together about bigger events in my life.
After getting married and having kids these albums became family focused. These albums started out documenting bigger events, and then once I shifted to pocket style albums they focus on more everyday moments.
I love creating these albums. It is my number one goal to figure out a system that works for me that allows me to stay caught up on this yearly project.
Each month my set up is the same. However the amount of stories that get told, and the way they get told varies.
I like to switch up the product that I use each month to reflect the season of life we are in. This year I am using older core kits that I’ve had for years, and years.
Using these older core kits has been so much fun, and has reminded me how much I love pocket cards.
My Personal Project Life Album:
As I was putting together my Family Album over the last few years I have noticed that there have been stories about myself that I haven’t felt like they fitted well in our family album.
These stories I wanted to share didn’t fit in any other project that I currently work on. This is when I decided to add a Personal Project Life Album to my line up.
For this album I’m using the Stories By The Month kits that Ali Edwards releases each month.
One of favorite products by Ali Edwards is the Stories By The Month! I had canceled this kit in December of 2023 thinking I would need it any more since my plan was to use older core kits in 2024.
Once I saw January kits, and February kits I had to sign back up.
I love both of these projects, and I’m enjoying being back in these albums after a summer break.
Stay tune for some Personal Project Life Process videos coming up soon.
