Welcome to Day 2 of Craftmas!
Today I’m jumping back into my 2025 Project Life Album. I took a little unintentional break from it—life got busy, as it tends to do. It feels so good to slide right back into this project.
I always say that when you have a solid system in place for your memory-keeping, it becomes so much easier to step away when you need to and jump right back in when the creative spark returns. No guilt, no overwhelm… just picking up the story where you left off.
Let’s dive into my October 2025 pages and get my photos in the right place. This way, I can tackle journaling next.
For the month of October, I used a 6×6 paper pack from Photo Play. I picked these up at the Scrapbook Expo last year, and I’m so glad I did. The papers are gorgeous, and they’ve been absolutely perfect for the month of October.
Normally, my first step is simply dropping my photos into the pockets and then coming back later to add embellishments. It’s my usual rhythm—one thing at a time. It wa great to do this step together.
There was something really satisfying about watching the photos and embellishments come together in the moment. It felt more intuitive, more connected—like the pages were telling me what they needed as I went. At the end of the day, do what feels natural when it comes to memory keeping. It will help you create a system that will work for you.
I love how October’s Calendar came out. The torn paper, and the little snoopy Taylor Swift screen shot was perfect.
I had more everyday snapshots than I usually do, and a 9×12 pocket page protector ended up being the perfect fit. It gave me just the right amount of space to include all those little moments without things feeling crowded.
Different Size Page Protectors For The win!
I really love mixing in different-sized protectors throughout the month. It adds dimension and movement to the album—almost like each turn of the page reveals a new layer of our story. Those subtle size changes make the whole project feel more dynamic and intentional, and they help the everyday moments stand out in such a fun, natural way.
On the back of my October calendar, I put together a simple traditional layout using a few photos and a 4×6 card that I trimmed down to fit. And that wraps up today’s look inside my Project Life album! It feels so good to be back in this project and easing into the rhythm of documenting again.
Thanks for joining me for Day 2 of Craftmas.
