Today is Project Life Weekly, and I’m diving back into my Project Life Family Album. My original plan for the day was simple: just get my patterned paper set up for September.
But you know how it goes — once I got started, I found my rhythm and just kept going! Before I knew it, I had all my photos sorted, slipped into their pockets, and even set up the inserts I’ll need to finish the month. Sometimes a little creative momentum takes over, and honestly, I’m not mad about it.
Something you’ll always hear me say is that memory keeping can be as easy or as hard as you make it. The real secret? Having a system you can come back to again and again.

While I was adding these little bits to my calendar, a spark of inspiration hit! Suddenly I found myself dreaming up some fun ideas for this part of our family album in 2026. I love when that happens! It is honestly the best! When an idea sneaks up on me in the middle of something ordinary and reminds me how creative this process really is.
There’s something so energizing about letting a new idea take shape, giving it space to breathe, and imagining how it might fit into my memory-keeping next year. Those little moments of inspiration are what keep this hobby feeling fresh and full of heart.
Don’t be afraid to switch things up, try something new, or take a different approach. Even if it doesn’t turn out exactly the way you imagined. That’s part of the creative journey. Every time you sit down to make something, you’re learning, growing, and discovering what works for you. In creativity, no time is ever wasted.
I’m not a big fan of saving every little piece of product I bring into my craft life for the “perfect” project or moment. However, this September Stories is something I got a few years ago from Ali Edwards, and I saved it. I was over the moon for it to fit perfectly into my Project Life for September.
I’m so happy with where my Family Album is this year. It feels incredible to see it coming together and to know I’ll have it wrapped up by the end of the year. There’s something so satisfying about watching all those everyday moments come together into one beautiful story.
I’m already getting excited to dive into next year’s album — a fresh start, new memories, and new stories to tell.
