Normally, I’m still knee-deep in the first half of my album well into September—some years I’ve been clinging to it all the way into October like a crafter lost in time.
But this year? I’m wrapping it up by the end of July! I know—who even am I? Despite the chaos of summer, I’ve somehow managed to stay on top of this project.
Now, how I pulled that off while starting a whole Summer Mini Album? Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. I’m just over here defying the odds with a trimmer in one hand some Ice Tea in the other.
The last thing I do in every album is stamp my Avery Index Tabs and I thought I would show you how tackle this task. It can be a pain if you don’t have a good system.
This is the first set of tabs I have stamped since I did my big Ali Edward Stamp Re-Orgainzation and it truly made the process so much easier.
I just can’t get over how much I love how the different size pages all layer together! They are so much fun to flip through.
Stamping all of the tabs at the end of the album process also gives you a wonderful excuse to flip back through your album and enjoy all your hard work.
I’m a big believer in everyone looking through my albums, and enjoying the memories and fun. After all what is the point of putting all this work into these albums if they just sit on the shelf and collect dust.
As I’ve been working through my older Project Life Core Kits, I’ve felt a slow shift happening. These kits have served me well! I lov them and there’s comfort in the simplicity and familiarity. However lately, I’ve been feeling that creative itch to try something different.
It’s that nudge that usually means it’s time to stretch a little, play a little, and let things evolve.
Going forward, I think it’s time to start mixing in some pattern paper again. I miss the texture, the layers, the way a bold print or subtle design can bring a whole layout to life. It’s not about abandoning what’s worked—just breathing some fresh life into the process and letting creativity lead the way.
I just picked up my July photos and I’m looking forward to diving into Album 2 next week.
