🎟️ August 3rd – August 9th 🌞
Our favorite weekend of the year has always been the last weekend of July when our little town fair rolls in. I’ve been going since I was a kid, and it’s woven into the fabric of my life. From sticky cotton candy fingers to the sound of the ferris wheel turning against a summer sky, it holds a priceless place in my heart.
This year was no different—we counted down the days of July just waiting for it to arrive. And, as if on cue, the summer heat held off, blessing us with fair days in the high 80s. A sweet reprieve from the blistering 105° or 107° we’ve endured in years past.
The fun kicks off Thursday morning as we join the parade down Main Street, right into the heart of the fairgrounds! We stroll past the animals, the arena, and down that beautiful flower-lined midway. There’s just something magical about it—peaceful yet buzzing with excitement—as the sounds, sights, and smells of the fair lead you toward the opening ceremony.
This year we all went our separate ways! The kids headed for the rides and enjoyed endless hours running into friends, and family while screaming their heads off!
Esau and I went to the Rodeo, and walked through all the exhibits. Andrew took 1st place with all three lego sets he created and Violet took 3rd place on a mixed media coloring page she did.
All in all it was a great end to our summer! Right after fair ended we jumped right into full on back to school prep!
