Week In The Life 2025 Album

I’m a big fan of Ali Edwards’ Week In The Life project! I’ve created several WITL albums over the years.

It’s one of those projects I absolutely love to hate. Taking a million photos and then wrangling them into an album? Total chore. 🙃

But here’s the truth: the end result always makes it 100% worth it. Every single time, I’m so glad I pushed through.

This year there was no avoiding needing to be in 2 albums. I don’t love having two albums for this project. I was completly shocked to even need a second album since I didn’t take nearly as many photos as I normally do.

Two albums fit the project this year perfectly, and in years to come I’m sure I won’t even notice.

The first two photos in the album are 6×8 photos that I simply printed out out at home. The photo quality is not perfect.

However, I didn’t want to have to wait for prints to come in. I print my 6×8 and anything larger through the Project Life App.

Within my memory keeping projects I am never looking for things to be perfect. I’m looking for these projects to be completed so that my family can enjoy the albums. Done is always better than perfect when it comes to these projects.

I used a paper pack from Carta Bella, and because the cardstock is basically as thick as cardboard (in the best way), I needed at least two packs to make it through the whole week. Totally worth it, though—the sturdiness makes the album feel solid.

For the titles, I dug into my stash and found some old traveler’s notebook letter stickers that worked out perfectly. Well… almost perfectly. Let’s just say the word morning is now living its best life without an “I.” We’ll just pretend it’s a fun design choice, okay? 😂

Some of my favorite pages in this album are the ones where I pushed myself to play a little—like getting creative with shapes and even using the outside of the page protectors. (Sometimes the best ideas happen when you break the “rules.”)

One of the biggest wins? Including the AI Babies. At first, I almost skipped it, but I’m so glad I didn’t. It ended up being one of those details that makes the whole album feel more personal and fun. Plus, I got to have a little fun with the title wording on that page—because if you can’t laugh at your own album, what’s even the point?

I had started out thinking that I would use the full 6×8 pages for my journaling, however I that didn’t work out.

I ended up using these pages to do full traditional style layouts. Often time the they held the stories for Stories Of Home stories I ended up sprinkling through out the album.

I definitely went a little overboard with the journaling in this album—but honestly, in the best possible way. When I flipped through my past WITL albums, I realized a lot of them barely had journaling at all. And every time, I felt like something was missing.

So this time, I flipped the script. I did all the journaling up front, using my black-and-white cards (the same style I’ve been loving in my Project Life Family Album).

And you know what? I loved it. Not only did the journaling turn out exactly how I wanted, but getting it done early in the process made everything else flow so much smoother. Total game-changer.

This album style, and colors are by far some of my favorite which makes this WITL album one of my most favorites. It was fun to use this set of paper, and use up so many of the products I had hand.

Even though I documented everything the last week of May, I didn’t actually start pulling the album together until mid-June. And just last week—I finally put the finishing touches on it! 🎉

I’m so glad I wrapped it up over the summer. Honestly, finishing a WITL album in the same season I started it feels like a major win. We even had it displayed in the living room for a whole week—our little “coffee table art book”—before Fall décor swooped in and stole the spotlight. 🍂
