I feel like everyone is saying they can’t believe it is already August, and I’m almost tired of hearing it.
However, I really can’t believe we are here starting the month of August. I thought I would do a quick update on what has been happening around our house.
I took a small break and haven’t been here on the blog much over the last few weeks.
We got out of school for Summer at the beginning of June and we were READY for summer. All of us just needed a break from school. It was a long school year for all of us.
We needed a break from getting up early and having to be in all the places for all the things. June was a beautiful relaxing, lazy month.
July 2023 was Hot!
In July the heat rolled in we spent long summer days at the pool, in the living room with the cool air playing the Switch which is new to us this year.
We ended the month of July at our County Fair. Which by the way is rated the number 2 County Fair in the State of California!
Fair this year was AWESOME! The weather cooled down for the perfect weekend. Which was honestly a blessing because the worst part of the heat in July kept happening over the weekends when we would get up to 108 at times.
The weather for the weekend topped out at 93 degrees and the evenings were down in the 70s. We had the best time riding the rides, walking the midway, and for the first time ever we let the kids hang out Saturday evening at the rides, and Esau and I went to the Rodeo.
Andrew and I entered a few things in the Fair and walked away with 2nd & 3rd! Andrew took 2nd place for 2 of his Lego builds! How cool is that?
I got second place, and third place on a few memory-keeping layouts I entered. Overall it was a perfect weekend to the end of July.
We are heading into August our Summer time fun is coming to an end and we are starting to get prepared for School starting in a few short weeks.
This Mama is ready for everyone to be out of the house and get back to a normal work schedule, however I’m not looking forward to the transition to going to bed earlier, and getting up WAY earlier than we have been. That has been a pretty awesome part of our summer. Late nights, and late mornings.
