Hello and welcome back to Project Life Weekly, my ongoing series where I share the progress of my Project Life Family Album throughout the year.
Each week, I’ll be diving into the moments, memories, and layouts that bring our family story to life. I’m so excited to have you here as we document another beautiful year, one week at a time. Let’s create something meaningful together!
Every year, I get so excited to dive in and create my Title Page—it’s like setting the tone for a whole new chapter of memory-keeping. Setting up my album and preparing for the year ahead feels incredibly refreshing and energizing.
Even though I haven’t completely finished my 2024 album, I’m diving into the new one, fueled by a wave of excitement and creativity. Sometimes, inspiration strikes, and you just have to go with it! I can’t wait to see how this year’s album comes together.
I got started with this beautiful set of paper from Paper Rose called Rainbow Woodgrain. Finally, I was able to find this at scrapbook.com HERE.
I want to use this paper on everything, in every project. It’s beautiful and I’m glad I picked it up in the 12×12 set instead of the 6×6.
I was so excited to get started on my title page, but I quickly ran into a little hurdle—what to do with the backside of the page?
For a while, I felt completely stuck, unsure how to make it work.
After giving it some thought over a few days, inspiration struck! I decided to create a fun and interactive flip-up feature using brads and circles.
It added a playful touch and turned what felt like a challenge into a creative opportunity. Sometimes, a little pause is all you need to find the perfect solution! I was over joyed when I found the little tiny star brads I had forgot I had. They worked perfectly, and I can’t wait to use them again.
This year, I’m sticking with a tried-and-true approach by using one of my older core kits, just like I did last year. There’s something so satisfying about diving into these older collections and giving them new life in my projects.
It feels great to use up products that have been sitting in my craft room. Plus, it’s a fun challenge to work with what I already have and see how creative I can get! Let’s make the most of what’s already here and dive into creating. I’m always on the look out for NEW supplies, but I’m enjoying putting to use what I already have.
I will be on Friday to dive into my Simple Everyday Snapshot Notebook I created.
