🇺🇸 June 30th – July 5th 🧨
This week we celebrated the 4th of July in true small-town fashion—with all the charm, community spirit, and just the right amount of tractor fumes!
Esau and I kicked things off at the beautiful ribbon cutting for the Plymouth–District 5 Veterans Park. It was such a meaningful way to honor freedom, service, and our community. Seeing the work that’s gone into this space left us both feeling proud and inspired—what an incredible gift to our town!
After soaking in all the patriotic feels, we dashed home, scooped up the kids, and made our way to one of our favorite annual traditions: the 20th Annual Trucks, Tractors, and Trikes Parade—because nothing says “Happy Birthday, America” like a tricycle brigade and a line of honking John Deeres!
When I tell people we live in a real-life Stars Hollow (yes, that Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls—if you know, you know), I’m not exaggerating. We’ve got the quirky characters, the spontaneous sidewalk chats, and yes… even our very own “Kirk.”
This parade is one of the absolute highlights of our summer. The whole town shows up—there’s candy flying through the air, lawn chairs lined up on the sidewalks, and neighbors catching up like no time has passed. It’s everything I love about this little corner of the world, wrapped up in sunshine, small-town magic!
And what was even more magical this year was the weather! It was a beautiful, and perfect 73 degress! We round the day off with Hamburgers at home, a lazy afternoon nap before headed to the lake with a pizza for everyone, a few beers for the grown up and a spectacular display of fire works that left us all breathless.
