Several years ago I did a 31 Days of Thankful project in little 4×4 albums. I would do this project in November and it was inspired by the trend of posting everyday on Facebook something you were thankful.
I loved the idea, but didn’t love the idea of not being able to easily go back and see these days of gratitude posts. Who really goes back on Facebook to see what they posted a year ago, or two years ago?
What I discovered after doing this a few years a in a row is that it wasn’t pratical to in the month of November. There was simply too many Holiday related things happening to get these albums finished.
Then I did the same project in October and it was perfect. This year I am excited to be doing this project once again.
My October Daily is looking a little different from the traditional October Daily projects I am seeing on Youtube. Most people I see are creating Halloween inspired albums.
I’m not big into Halloween. In fact truth be told I hate it. I hated it as a kid, and we have never celebrated it with our kids.
So instead of doing a Halloween inspired album, my album inspired by Fall.
Instead of putting a huge focus on telling the stories from each day I’m just numbering my pages one through thirty one.
My plan is to document things I’m thankful, and I will also being adding stories from my home.
Each year in my membership community I do a project called “Stories Of Home” and we share storeis about homes. This year instead of doing this project in my Project Life Family Album I’m going to do it this mini album.
I’m using the Traci Reed Collection called Bountiful Fall. This was the November Kit from last year, and is purly digital. I love having a it as a digital kit because I can print out the pieces that I need. I purchased the entire kit and love it.
Story one is of Kayla and passing her driving permit test. How in the world do I have a child that is already learning to drive?
This October Daily project has my heart and I’m feeling so inspired to work on it. I will be sharing this project through out the month.
