I’m so happy to be back here, sharing my projects with you again. 2026 came in fast and a little wild, and getting things posted on my website just didn’t make the cut for a while.
But even with all the ongoing craziness of life (because you know there’s always a little chaos in the mix), I’ve really been missing this space—and more importantly, the connection we have here. This little corner where photos, stories, paper, and a bit of glue and glitter come together… it matters to me.
And it feels really, really good to be back.
Week In The Life 2026
The first crafty project I want to catch you up on is my upcoming Week In The Life project.
Let’s start with the first video I shared a few weeks ago, where I walk through the products I had purchased and share my initial thoughts with my YouTube members.
If you’d like to join, my YouTube channel membership is available anytime—and you can cancel anytime, too.
Once I started getting everything into the album, I could feel that creative spark come back. That’s always how it works for me—just getting started is the hardest part, and then suddenly I’m all in. From there, I was able to really settle in and build out the structure for this album and bring the whole project together in a way that felt good.
For this mini album, I pulled from three different kits to create something that felt balanced, cohesive, and just right. Mixing and matching like this is one of my favorite ways to stretch my supplies and make something that feels uniquely mine.
I purchased the following products:
📸 Ali Edwards 6×8 Album // Black & White Stories Album
📸 Ali Edwards’s Week In The Life Main 2026 Kit // The basic elements
📸 Ali Edwards Mini Photo Kit // Week In Life Mini Kit #1
✂️ Vicki Boutin SBC Fest March 2026 Workshop // This has SO many elements that work perfectly with WITL
✂️ Vicki Boutin Cut & Past Collection // Stripped Paper
✂️ Vicki Boutin Cut & Past Collection // Butterfly Paper
✂️ Vicki Boutin Bold Bright Collection // Butterfly Puffy Stickers
I was able to take all these pieces and put together my foundation pages for this project.
In all of my past Week In The Life albums, I’ve always just dove in headfirst—taking all the photos during the week, printing everything, and getting it straight into an album.
This year, I’m approaching it completely differently. I’m starting with the album and products first, building out some foundation pages before the week even begins.
Not only does this give me space to slow down and add in those little details that usually get lost in the rush, but it’s also helping me think more intentionally about the photos I want to take and the stories I want to tell throughout the week.
One of the ways I’m bringing in more detail upfront is through stamping and creating some of my own digital products. Anything I design digitally, I always share with my community members for free.
Pulling It All Together:
Once I found a simple formula for my page protectors and products, I used that same structure as a guide for each day. I also measured a few of the more custom spaces, so I can keep those in mind while I’m documenting throughout the week.
I plan to use the Project Life App to create photo collages and do a bit of editing at the end of each day.
I’m looking forward to diving into this project, and will be sharing a few more process videos as I get ready to dive into the week of documenting. Currently I’m planning on documenting the week with everyone starting May 18th.
Let me know if you are doing Week In The Life this year!
