❄️ January 13th – 18th ☃️
I want to start this week by expressing my deepest gratitude to everyone who has reached out with messages of concern about the fires here in California. Your kindness and support mean more than words can say.
Our family is safe, as we live about 8 to 10 hours away from where the fires are currently raging in Southern California. We’re in Northern California, so we’re not in any immediate danger, and thankfully, we don’t have family living in the affected areas. But many of my loved ones—close family and friends—are right there battling the fires.
The men and women who are fighting the fires, and helping need all the support and prayers we can offer.
It’s been nearly impossible for me to look away from the devastation unfolding, especially as we start the year with such heartbreak. The scale of the destruction is overwhelming, and the hardest part is that there’s no sign of rain on the horizon for the next few weeks.
We watch Mark Finen on Youtube who gives up updates on the weather. I’ve added his video from this morning in case you want to check him or follow his YouTube channel.
Please continue to keep those in danger, the brave firefighters, and all those affected in your thoughts. We’re all in this together, and every bit of support counts.
I know there’s so much happening across the country right now—devastating weather events, communities still reeling from the aftermath of the hurricane, and the political outlook this week. It can feel overwhelming at times, with so much uncertainty and pain all around us.
But even in the midst of all this chaos, it’s important to take a moment to remember that we are all in this together. The challenges we face may be different, but the strength and resilience we share as a community are what will help us through.
Stay safe, stay strong, and keep looking out for one another. Every act of kindness, every bit of support, makes a difference.
