Creating A Flip-Up For PL

After a wild and hectic week, I’m so excited to be diving back into my Project Life Family Album and tackling the month of April!

Last week, I picked up all my photos, got them sorted, and slipped into the right page protectors. Now this week, I’m hitting the ground running. I’ve prepped everything and I’m ready to dive in—I can’t wait to start bringing these layouts to life! Let’s do this!

My first layout is done in a 6×8 page protector which you can find at HERE. Moving foward I will be getting my smaller page protectors from Ali Edwards site.

This layout is sevreal photos from the month of April and all center around Kayla taking her driving test!

Creating a flip-up is hands down one of my favorite memory-keeping tricks. It’s simple to do, but the impact is huge—it lets you add more photos without changing your original page protector layout. Total game changer! Especially when you’re working with limited space and don’t want to leave out a single memory.

You’ll notice I included several photos from throughout the month to help tell this story. Ultimately, that’s because every photo holds layers of meaning. One image can carry multiple stories depending on the lens you view it through. Often I use the same photo across different projects, and I do it intentionally.

I approached this layout in our Family Album with intention, knowing I wanted to capture multiple angles—emotions, details, and perspectives that make the story complete. I wanted to highlight different aspects of this story. By using several photos that allowed me to honor all the moments that made it meaningful.

This Months Core Kit:

I’m finding myself more drawn to the Yellows and Blues in this kit, and I’m finding it harder to use the pinks and corals. This is not shocking to me since those are my favorite colors.

For now I’m going to lean into that see what happens. Looking forward to sharing another project with you tomorrow that is all about stamping.
