Hello Crafty Friends! Happy July đ„° What happened to June? I had such great expectations for the month of June!
Now, as many of you already know, summer and I have a bit of a love-hate relationship⊠mostly heavy on the hate and light on the love. But after the school year we just survived (barely) and the last two months that felt like a chaotic blur of âwhat day is it again?ââI have never been more thrilled to see that calendar page flip to June, and then right away to July! đ€Ș
Bring on the slightly slower days, slightly less packed schedules, and all the iced coffee I can handle while hiding from the sun! âïžđ
June Recap & Summer Mini Album :
Lately, Iâve been craving those simple, soul-filling creative momentsâthe kind where you lose track of time and end up with ink on your elbows and glitter in your hair (and probably in your coffee⊠again).
I want to use my stamps more! Not just admire them like tiny pieces of art in a museum of âsomeday projects.â I want to dive into my beautiful collection of inksâseriously! I just want to play. No pressure, no perfectionâjust good old-fashioned crafty fun. With that thought in mind let me introduce you to my Summer Mini Album!
I could not be happier with this project! I really wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into when I decided to jump head first into yet another project.
Of course I don’t want to abandon my other project! My Project Life Family album is going strong, my personal album is caught up, and I will be sharing the process of diving back into Kayla’s Album’s this month as well.
This simple, mini album is something that is just for fun. No expections!
I don’t really have a ton of summer product because I’m not a huge summer fan. We don’t do anything crazy over the summer. Our family is not into Summer Vacations, or traveling.
We spend out our summes sleeping in, going to the pool, and hanging out with each other watching movies. However I was able to find a few things with a summer theme to them.
What I do have plenty of is Project Life and pocket-style cardsâso many! Right now, the ones working best for me are from Ali Edwards.
The idea Iâm leaning into is super simple: use one card to tell one story from this summer. Itâs not a daily project or even weekly. Itâs just whenever I have a story to share or feel inspired to play with a product I love. No pressure, just meaningful memory-keeping in the moment.
A Creative Little Project:
Overall, Iâm honestly so happy with how this little project is coming togetherâitâs been such a fun and meaningful creative outlet.
Now, Iâd be lying if I said I wasnât deeply tempted to click âadd to cartâ every time I see new summer memory-keeping supplies pop up. The struggle is real. (Why do they make the embellishments so cute??)
But Iâm doing my best to keep my head down, my wallet closed, and my hands busy using what I already have. Itâs a battle between my love for fresh crafty goodies and my overflowing stash whispering, âUse me, please!â
So far, the stash is winning. Barely.
